Sunday School
Leader: Frank Dent / Lori Farver / Michele Chamberlain

Lightstreet United Methodist Church holds Sunday School classes every Sunday morning, 9:15 am.

Children's classes are grouped by age and staffed by caring volunteers.  All of our Sunday School volunteers have completed Child Abuse Prevention training and have clearances from the PA State Police and PA Department of Public Welfare.  Classes are available for birth through high school.  Children's classes are located in our multi-purpose building, The Lighthouse, adjacent to the church.

LUMC offers a choice of three adult Sunday School formats:

The International Sunday School lesson is taught in our church social hall by a rotation of teachers.

Back to Basics is a class for adults who want to learn about the basics of faith and discipleship.  Beginners as well as seasoned learners who want to get "back to basics" are welcomed.  Discussion is encouraged.  The classroom is located just off the gymnasium in The Lighthouse.  The current topic is "Faith".  Class members have children ranging in age from birth through Middle School, but welcome and encourage people at all life-stages to join them.

Christian Perspectives selects contemporary issues to study.  Scriptures are supplimented by writings of contemporary authors and videos.  The current lesson series is written by John Ortberg entitled, "The Life You've Always Wanted."  Beginning June 27, a new Ray Vander Laan series will take us through the summer.  They use the large classroom on the main floor of The Lighthouse.
