Rev. Charles L. Kind came to Lightstreet United Methodist in July of 2004. A native of Harrisburg, he came to us by way of Chambersburg. First United Methodist Church of Chambersburg is his recommending church. Pastor Charlie is a Full Elder in the United Methodist Church.
His educational background includes: Rockland Community College, Suffern, NY, AA S., 1967; Dickinson College, BS, 1969; University of North Texas, Denton, TX, MS (Gerontology/Certified Specialist in Aging), 1974; Wesley Theological Seminary, M Div, 1998.
His wife, Nessie, is a semi-retired school nurse. She substitutes in the nurse’s office of Central Columbia Schools and works in the psychiatric ward of the Bloomsburg Hospital.
Pastor Charlie and Nessie have three adult children and two grandchildren.
Office hours , subject to change, are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. If there is no one at the church, you are encouraged to let a phone message, send an e-mail or contact the pastor at home or the church secretary at home.
