Resources that provide comfort, instruction, assistance and/or support:

 

  • Lightstreet Coat giveaway, Feel the Warmth of Jesus.  Free coats to children.  This is a one-day event.  Check back in the fall of the year for the date and time.  www.lightstreetumc.org  

 

 

  • Al-Anon – Alateen - www.al-anon.alateen.org      Al-Anon is meeting in person in The Lighthouse Mondays, 7:00 pm.  Use the rear entrance.

 

 

  • Food resources:  Lightstreet United Methodist Church supports area food banks with food donations, financial support and volunteers.  We do not keep food at the church.  Contact these food banks if you are in need of food:
    • ​​​​Blessings Box, In front of the church building at 1640 Main Street.  Stocked routinely with food and personal care items.  Check back often to see what blessings might be in store for you.

  • Your Loving Choices, Inc, 904 Market Street Bloomsburg, PA  17815.  Crisis Pregnancy Resource Center.  Trained volunteers offer loving encouragement without judgment for those who find themselves with an unexpected pregnancy.  Medical information as well as basic needs for infants.  Home - Your Loving Choices

 

  • If you have medical health issues, Geisinger Medical Center offers Geisinger PrayerNet.  PrayerNet is a website offering patients and their families comfort, support and prayer from a network of volunteers.  PrayerNet is open to all faiths.  www.Geisinger.org/PrayerNet
